The most famous thing about Shahid Afridi is that when he comes in the ground to bat for his team, he has just one goal and that primary goal is to hit sixers or fly the ball out of the ground. He has been doing that since the very first match, he does not care that he will get out in this effort and an average record is that he hits couple of sixes and then get catch out. This has made him popular as boom boom Afridi, boom boom because of his massive six hitting power and spectators enjoys his six hitting strategy. But Imran khan did it and convinced the whole nation that we need to build this cancer hospital that will serve us and our future generations for years to come. Due to great success of SKMT project, Imran Khan is moving forward with his charity funded cancer hospital projects and work is in progress in two major cities of Pakistan which is Peshawar and Karachi. Another successful project which was launches some years back is the NUML College project which is in itself a big project for poor people of Mianwali and surrounding cities to receive technical degrees and receive world class education. There are two major aspects of this project, first is that this project has affiliation with University of Bradfork UK and students graduating from NUML college will receive the degree of Univeristy of Bradford. The second aspect of this project is that students enrolled in the degree programs do not have to pay any money to receive this world class education. Most of the students joining the program do not pay anything and study on 100% scholarship funded by charity. Development Of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital

Built 100% on Charity Money and wIthout any major sponsor

The development of the project was 100% on charity basis and the fact that it was built by all Pakistani's who contributed their money according to their ability. Imran Khan went from city to city all over Pakistan to collect charity in which people of all age and gender came forward and contributed to build this hospital. However no large amount came from big organizations as sponsor of this project, so financing the project was a major challenge.

The total cost to build this mega charity project consume around 600 million rupees which is equivalent to 26 million USD at that time, which was a huge amount of money that no one could ever think collectable without major financing agencies. But this was converted into reality by average Pakistani people out of which major contributes were the children that arranged money at school level from their pocket money and forcing their parents to contribute. If you check the video documentary below you will see a sea of income coming into the charity fund on a daily basis during the construction time. This was the passion of average Pakistani Citizen which made a unique environment of getting people together to contribute in one single cause that will help their future generations.
